Honolulu restaurant ordering, without the marketplace cut.

Visitors plan where to eat before they land, and locals order plate lunch on the way. Both can order from you directly — on a site that loads on a hotel connection and an ordering page that does not take a cut of every ticket.

The Honolulu problem

Half your customers are reading from far away.

A Hawaii restaurant has an audience no mainland restaurant has: people looking at the menu from another time zone, weeks before they arrive. They cannot walk past and look in the window, they do not know the neighborhood, and they are comparing you against everything else on the island from a screen.

Then there is the local trade — plate lunch, the regulars, the truck and market-stall business that runs on knowing exactly where you are today and what is left. Those two audiences want completely different things from the same page, and a marketplace listing serves neither of them particularly well.

The other thing that decides this here is cost. Hawaii is an expensive place to run a kitchen. A commission that scales with every good night is a worse deal in a market where the margin is already thin, and a fixed monthly is easier to plan around.

What changes

When the ordering is yours.

Orders come to your kitchen, payment goes to your processor at your own rate, and the customer's details are yours — which is what lets you tell people you are open when the visitor season turns.

It is a web app rather than a native app from a store: it opens in the browser and installs to the home screen with your icon. No download, which matters when half the people ordering are on a hotel connection with a nearly full phone.

What is included

Everything in the package.

How it runs

From menu to live.

1. Fifteen minutes

Your menu, your service model, and whether ordering is actually your bottleneck. Sometimes it is not, and I will say so.

2. The menu goes in

Items, modifiers, options and prices, written out properly. This is the part that takes the time, and I do it.

3. You order from yourself

On a phone, like a customer, and we fix whatever is annoying before anyone else sees it.

4. It goes live

The ordering link goes on your Google profile and your social accounts, and the home-screen install starts turning regulars into repeat orders.

What this normally costs

The comparison, honestly.

A third-party delivery marketplace

15% to 30% of each order, depending on the plan tier

All-in costs often land nearer 30% to 40% once promotions and the lower tiers' visibility penalties are counted, and the customer stays theirs, not yours.

Restaurant website + high-volume ordering app

$2,000 up front, then $149/mo

One published price, one invoice, and the work is done for you.

Figures are typical market ranges shown for illustration, not quotes from named providers. Many vendors price by seat, contact or location and keep pricing behind a sales call.

Questions

Frequently asked

Will it work for a food truck or a market stall?

Yes, and location is the thing to get right: where you are today and what is left need to be changeable in seconds. That is part of the monthly rather than a separate job.

Do I have to leave the delivery apps?

No. They reach visitors who have never heard of you, which is worth something. Your own ordering is for the people who already know.

Can visitors order before they arrive?

They can browse and plan, and the site is written for somebody who has never been to your street. Whether you take orders that far ahead is your call and we set it up either way.

What does it cost per order?

Nothing per order. Card processing is separate and charged by your processor at your own rate.

Is there a contract?

Not on this. Growth, marketing and website services — including the website care plan — are month-to-month with no long-term commitment, and you can prepay annually for up to two months free. Payment processing is a separate thing: it is a merchant account and it has its own terms, which I go over with you personally on the free review so everything is clear before you decide.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any month. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period to argue about on the month-to-month services — I would rather earn the next month than hold you to a term you regret. If you cancel a website plan the domain is yours, registered in your name, and you can take the site elsewhere.
