Web design in Honolulu, at a price you can see.

A fast, mobile-first site for a Honolulu business, designed and built for you rather than assembled from a template. I work with owners across Oahu, I answer across the time difference, and I publish the price: one number to build it, one number a month to keep it running.

Or call and talk it through: (305) 215-6132
The price

Two numbers, published.

Website design & build

Up front

$750 once

Designed and built for your business, one time.

Website design & build

Every month

$99 /mo
  • Custom design
  • Google Business Profile setup
  • Hosting, SSL, backups
  • Ongoing edits
  • Your domain in your name

The same price in every city I work in. It can be bought on its own or folded into a monthly plan — the pricing page builds any combination and shows the total before you commit.

Honolulu specifically

What a site has to do in Honolulu.

Hawaii businesses have a website problem that mainland businesses do not: a large share of your customers read your site before they get on a plane. Somebody in Seattle or Osaka is deciding, three weeks out, whether to book you — and they are doing it entirely from what is on the screen, with no chance to walk past and look in the window.

That raises the bar on the things owners tend to skip. Real photos of the actual place, because a stock image reads as a chain. Hours and location stated in a way that makes sense to somebody who does not know the island. Prices, or at least honest ranges, because a visitor comparing four options will drop the one that will not say. And a page that loads on a hotel connection.

The other thing about doing business here is cost. Hawaii is an expensive place to run anything, and a website quoted at 'let's discuss' is a website you cannot budget for. That is most of the reason I publish a fixed price rather than a proposal.

Who I build for here

The Honolulu businesses this is built for.

Working together in Honolulu

How this actually runs.

The time difference is mine to manage, not yours

I work with Honolulu businesses on Honolulu hours. You should not be scheduling your day around a mainland office.

On island when it counts

For photography and for the first conversation, in person is better. The rest runs on video calls.

Built to be read from far away

Half your audience may be looking at this from another time zone entirely, so the site is written for somebody who has never been to your street.

The build

Start to live.

1. Fifteen minutes

What the business does, who it sells to, and what the site has to make happen. If a website is not your problem I will say so.

2. I gather what I need

Photos, services, prices, hours. Where you do not have something, I tell you what would help and what we can do without.

3. I build it and you review it

You see it before anyone else does, and we change what you want changed.

4. It goes live and stays current

Domain pointed, Google profile connected, and from then on you email me when something needs changing.

The alternatives

What else you could do with the money.

An agency build plus a monthly SEO retainer

$1,000+/mo once the build is amortized

The usual shape: a project fee up front, then a retainer that covers the site and the search work together.

A page builder subscription

Cheaper, and it is yours to run

Genuinely fine if you enjoy it and have the evenings. Most owners buy one, build four pages, and never open it again.

This

$750 up front, then $99/mo

Built for you, hosted and maintained, and you email me when something needs changing.

Figures are typical market ranges shown for illustration, not quotes from named providers. Many vendors price by seat, contact or location and keep pricing behind a sales call.

The site is one of three things that bring you customers

The other two are the phone and the map. A site that converts is worth more when your Google profile is actually sending people to it, and worth more again when somebody answers when they call. You do not have to buy all three, and I will tell you which one Honolulu businesses like yours usually need first.

Questions

Frequently asked

How much does a website cost in Honolulu?

Mine is $750 up front, then $99/mo, published, and it does not change because you are on an island. That is deliberate: quoting Hawaii businesses more because everything else here costs more is a habit I would rather not have.

Do you work with businesses outside Honolulu?

Yes — across Oahu, the neighbor islands, and the mainland. I also work in Miami and Houston.

Can you handle a site aimed at visitors as well as locals?

That is most of the work here. It usually means the same site has to answer a regular who knows exactly what they want and a first-time visitor who does not know what any of it is, without patronizing either.

What does the monthly cover?

Hosting, SSL, backups, security updates, uptime monitoring, and ongoing edits. If you need a price changed, a photo swapped, a page added or your hours updated, you email me and I do it.

Do I own the site and the domain?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name and the site is yours.

How long does it take to build?

Typically a couple of weeks from the point I have your content, photos and details. What sets the pace is usually how quickly the business can get me its material, not the build.

Is there a contract?

Not on this. Growth, marketing and website services — including the website care plan — are month-to-month with no long-term commitment, and you can prepay annually for up to two months free. Payment processing is a separate thing: it is a merchant account and it has its own terms, which I go over with you personally on the free review so everything is clear before you decide.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any month. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period to argue about on the month-to-month services — I would rather earn the next month than hold you to a term you regret. If you cancel a website plan the domain is yours, registered in your name, and you can take the site elsewhere.
